Quick answers
About Lendercompare
Is Lendercompare the lender?
No. Lendercompare is a loan-matching service, not a lender. When you submit a request, we pass it along to lenders in our network who may be able to help, and any credit decision is made by that lender, not by us.
Does it cost anything to try?
No. Submitting a request through Lendercompare is completely free. If you go on to accept a loan, the rates, terms, and any fees are set by that lender directly — we don't add anything on top.
What if I don't like any of the matches?
Then you simply don't proceed. Reviewing a lender's terms is never an obligation to accept them, and there's no penalty or cost for deciding a match isn't right for you.
About your request
Am I guaranteed a match?
No. Whether you're matched with a lender depends on the details you submit and on which network lenders are able to consider your request at that time. Submitting a request isn't a guarantee of a match or an offer.
Does submitting hurt my credit?
The initial check we run to look for potential matches is typically a soft inquiry, which shouldn't affect your credit score. A hard inquiry only happens if you decide to move forward directly with a specific lender.
How fast could I actually get funds?
That timing is set entirely by the lender you end up working with, not by Lendercompare. Some lenders in our network are able to fund as soon as the next business day after you accept an offer, while others may take a bit longer.
